Purpose
For the community and the wider public
Športno kulturno društvo Huje is an independent, voluntary and non-profit association. It works in culture, sport and other activities connected with the association's aims.
In culture, we preserve local identity, customs, traditions and both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. We encourage amateur creativity, music, volunteering and cooperation between generations.
What we do
Association activities
Culture and heritage
Hujanske šjme, the carnival collection round, Shod Huje, music events and documentation of local traditions.
Sport and recreation
Encouraging sporting, recreational and community activities for members and the wider public.
Intergenerational cooperation
Children, young people, adults and older residents pass on knowledge, skills and local customs together.
Volunteering
Preparing events, community work actions and caring for shared village spaces and the cultural landscape.
