Shod Huje 2026

A two-day public event with live music, Mass, the opening dance and the 3rd accordion meeting.

3rd Accordion Meeting

16 performers, including many children and teenagers. The meeting was organised in cooperation with Marko Vatovec, a world champion in diatonic accordion playing.

29th traditional carnival parade “Pust je pršu 2026”

The parade took place on Sunday, 15 February 2026, from 14:00 through the streets of Ilirska Bistrica. Around 60 participants of different generations represented Hujanske šjme.

Carnival collection round

On Saturday, 14 February 2026, the all-day collection round took place through the village of Huje, visiting local homes and involving different generations.

Shod Huje 2025

On Saturday, the band Lisjaki performed; Sunday included Mass, the opening dance, the accordion meeting and an evening programme by the band Kažin.

2nd Accordion Meeting

23 performers from Huje and other places, each playing one or two pieces of their own choice. The meeting was organised in cooperation with Marko Vatovec.

The traditional Shod Huje took place on Saturday, 3 August, and Sunday, 4 August 2024.

1st Accordion Meeting

The first accordion meeting in Huje had 18 participants and marked the beginning of the continuing series of meetings. It was organised in cooperation with Marko Vatovec, a world champion in diatonic accordion playing.

The Hujanske šjme carnival collection round took place on 10 February 2024.

Volunteer work actions to mow and maintain shared village spaces.
